Name illegitimate -- nomenclatural senior synonym: Alisocysta, which has the same type.
Taxonomic senior synonym: Eisenackia, according to Quattrocchio and Sarjeant (2003, p.144) -- however, Fensome et al. (2016b, p.24) retained Alisocysta, with Agerasphaera as its nomenclatural junior synonym.
Type: Drugg, 1967, pl.1, fig.12, as Eisenackia circumtabulata.

Diagnosis:
Small, spherical to ovoidal cysts bearing distinct penitabular membranes whose arrangement indicates a paratabulation of ?pr, 4`, 6", 6c, 4s, 6```, 1p, 1````. Wall layers closely adpressed with no thickening of the periphragm in the plate areas. Ornamentation smooth to microreticulate, microgranulate or micropunctate- penitabular membranes smooth to microgranulate, or micropunctate. Archeopyle apical, formed by loss of the four apical plates as a single opercular piece.
