Cooksoniella
From Williams et al., 2017:
[Cooksoniella, Vozzhennikova, 1967, p. 183-184
Type species: Cooksoniella vinigrii, Vozzhennikova, 1967 (pl.109, figs.2a–b)]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original description: [Vozzhennikova, 1967]: (Translation: Lees in Sarjeant (ed.), 1971, p. 285-286):
Description:
Theca pentagonal, rhomboid, elongate, slightly convex or obtuse angled and divided into two almost equal parts. Transverse furrow shallow, equatorial, faintly spiral, its margins and the boundaries of the fields bordered by low ribbing or by short conical, acute ended processes. Tabulation represented by the formula: on the epitheca - 4a + 3cp + 7np; on the hypotheca - 5zd +?a`. Apical horn, short, bent, one of them feebly developed or absent. Oval or elliptical internal body occupies the central part of the theca. Pylome oval, hexagonal.
Affinities:
The genus differs from Deflandrea in having a tabulate theca, a hexagonal pylome and a different outline of the theca.
