Corradinisphaeridium
From Fensome et al., 2019:
Corradinisphaeridium, Masure, 1986, p.110.
Type: Corradini, 1973, pl.23, fig.6, as Lanternosphaeridium personatum.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original description: [Masure, 1986]: (Translation: Fensome, 1991, p. 145):
Diagnosis:
Skolochorate dinoflagellate cysts, central body ellipsoidal to fusiform, lengthened by apical and antapical protrusions surmounted by a process.
Wall non-fibrous, comprising an endophragm and a periphragm closely appressed. Cyst surface smooth, wrinkled, verrucose or perforate.
Processes non-fibrous, solid, cylindrical to lamellate, tapering towards their capitate distal extremities. Ramification of the processes may occur
at any level. Distribution intratabular, with one or two processes at the centre of each paraplate.
Process paratabulation formula 1-2?pr, 4`, 6``, 5-6c, 5-6```, 0-lp, 1````, xs.
Processes of the sulcal area may be absent; hence the X designation.
Inferred paratabulation: gonyaulacoid.
Archeopyle precingular 2P formed by the loss of paraplates 2" and 3", according to the Kofoid system. Archeopyle formula according to Taylor-Evitt: 2P3-4. Opercular pieces free.
Dimensions: 100-150 µm, including processes.
