Tax. sr. syn. of Collumosphaera Jain and Dutta in Dutta and Jain, 1980, according to Lentin and Williams, 1985. Lentin and Williams, 1989, retained Collumosphaera as a separate genus.

Description:
Cyst small, flattened, ellipsoidal in outline. A small circular aperture is present on one face just below the apex. The aperture is closed by a circular plug.
