Diagnosis:
Theca round to ovoidal with short apikal protrusions, without inner body and without tabulation. Girdlefurrow strongly spiral and indented. Longitudinal furrow more or less clear, relatively narrow.

Description:
Cyst proximate, subglobular to ovoidal or rounded-pentagonal, with or without an apical mamelon or horn.
Phragma thick, two-layered, with endophragm relatively thin, periphragm much thickened and sometimes containing cavities which may, or may not, be open.
Paracingulum clearly or faintly indicated parasulcus clearly or faintly indicated or indicated only by offset of the two ends of the paracingulum. Paratabulation otherwise only very faintly indicated or (typically) entirely lacking; processes lacking, but the periphragm surface may bear non-tabular features of low relief.
Archaeopyle single-plate precingular, type P; operculum attached or free.
