Original description: [Cookson and Eisenack, 1958]:
Description:
Shell longer than broad, with straight or convex sides and rounded ends behind one of which a pylome is developed.

Shape: Subspherical.
Wall relationships: Autophragm only.
Wall features: No parasutural features. Autophragm densely ornamented with features of low relief.
Paratabulation: Indicated by archeopyle only.
Archeopyle: Intercalary, Type I (normally 2a only); occasionally paraplates 1a and/or 3a are free or outlined by parasutures; archeopyle index >0.5; operculum free.
Paracingulum: Not indicated.
