Xandarodinium
From Fensome et al., 2019:
Xandarodinium, Reid, 1977, p.446–447.
Matsuoka (1992, p.451) considered Sumatradinium to be the possible taxonomic senior synonym of this genus.
Type: Reid, 1977, pl.3, figs.27–28, as Xandarodinium xanthum.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original description: [Reid, 1977]:
Diagnosis:
Elliptical cysts with an irregular outline formed by the extension of the wall into hollow, tubular processes open to the internal cavity, but closed distally.
Affinities:
The archaeopyle consisting of a single plate appears to be intercalary. This genus differs from any other previously described in its hollow processes opening to the interior and its irregular shape.
