Cordosphaeridium subgenus Tarimocystium, He Chengquan, 1991, p.165,213–214.
He Chengquan (1991, p.165) included the following species in this subgenus: Cordosphaeridium aulichnum, Cordosphaeridium brevispinum, Cordosphaeridium brevitubulosum, Cordosphaeridium crassum, and Cordosphaeridium operculatum.
Citations for the above species are included under Cordosphaeridium.
He Chengquan et al. (2009, p.148–150) also used this subgenus name.
Type: He Chengquan, 1991, pl.13, fig.12; text-fig.39, as Cordosphaeridium (Tarimocystium) brevitubulosum.

Mode species Cordosphaeridium (Tarimocystium) brevitubulosum (subgen. et sp. nov.)
Subgenus Cordosphaeridium a new subgenus. Capsule close to the contraction, the protrusion is very short and weak, sometimes carnivorous or degenerated into a scar-shaped, usually caudate (a> larger than the other characteristics of the same taxa. Another subgenus of this genus z It is also distinguished from Aireiana by its belts.
Distribution and Era Eocene in the western part of Tarim Basin, Xinjiang, China.
