Achomosphaera perforata

From Fensome et al., 2019:
Achomosphaera perforata, (Davey and Williams, 1966a, p.50, pl.5, figs.1,4) Morzadec-Kerfourn, 1979, p.224.
Holotype: Davey and Williams, 1966a, pl.5, fig.4; Bujak et al., 1980, pl.5, fig.1; Fensome et al., 1991, fig.2 — p.705; fig.3 — p.721. Combination illegitimate: see discussion below.
NOW Achomosphaera ramulifera subsp. perforata.
Originally Achomosphaera ramulifera var. perforata, subsequently (and now) Achomosphaera ramulifera subsp. perforata, thirdly Achomosphaera perforata (combination illegitimate).
Taxonomic senior synonyms: Achomosphaera andalousiensis and Spiniferites (as "Achomosphaera") septentrionalis, both according to Morzadec-Kerfourn (1979, p.224) as junior synonyms; however, Mertens et al. (2018a, p.11) accepted neither synonymy. Morzadec-Kerfourn (1979, p.224) effectively raised this taxon to specific rank, although did not label it as "stat. nov." At the same time, she included Achomosphaera andalousiensis and Achomosphaera septentrionalis in synonymy; as both names are senior to Achomosphaera perforata at specific rank, the latter is an illegitimate combination, although apparently validly published. Morzadec-Kerfourn's proposal concerning Achomosphaera perforata was overlooked in Williams et al. (2017) and earlier editions of the "Lentin and Williams Index".
Age: Early Eocene.
