Elimatia albertii
From Fensome et al., 2019:
(Lentin and Williams, 1981, p.15) Duxbury, 2019, p.190.
Holotype: Alberti, 1961, pl.4, fig.16.
NOW Elimatia spinosa. Originally Pareodinia spinosa, subsequently Apteodinium? spinosum (combination illegitimate), thirdly Apteodinium? albertii, fourthly Elimatia albertii (name illegitimate), fifthly (and now) Elimatia spinosa.
Name illegitimate: the earliest available epithet for this spinosa, which is preoccupied withing the genus Apteodinium; however, the epithet is not preoccupied in Elimatia, and so the legitimate epithet reverts to spinosa and the name Elimatia alberii is illegitimate.
Apteodinium albertii was a substitute name for Apteodinium spinosum (Alberti, 1961, p.24, pl.4, fig.16) Stover and Evitt, 1978, p.142 (an illegitimate combination).
Age: late Barremian.
