Originally Canningia, subsequently Canningia?, thirdly Circulodinium?, fourthly (and now) Tenua? Eisenack.
Questionable assignment: Fensome et al. (2019a. p.49). Fensome et al. (2019a,p.49) recommended that this species be restricted to the holotype.
Age: early Tertiary.
