Spiniferites ambiguus
From Fensome et al., 2019:
Spiniferites ambiguus (He Chengquan, 1991, p.135, pl.28, figs.7–8) Fensome et al., 2019a, p.55. Holotype: He Chengquan, 1991, pl.28, fig.7; Fensome et al., 2019a, fig.20D. Originally Cyclonephelium?, subsequently (and now)
Spiniferites? Questionable assignment: Fensome et al. (2019a. p.55). Taxonomic junior synonym: Cyclonephelium?
tarimense, according to Fensome et al. (2019a, p.p.55). Fensome et al. (2019a, p.55) recommended that this species
be restricted to the holotype. Age: Paleocene.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Comments Fensome et al., 2019a:
Although the morphologies of Cyclonephelium? ambiguum and Cyclonephelium? tarimense are unclear, they appear to us to be similar and questionably assignable to Spiniferites. We recommend that both names be restricted to their respective holotypes.
Stratigraphical occurrence. The type materials of both Spiniferites? ambiguus (as Cyclonephelium ambiguum) and Cyclonephelium? tarimense are from the Paleocene of China.
