Sentusidinium setulosum (Shaw Chenglong, 1999b, p.182, figs.72–77,84–86) Wood et al., 2016, p.87. Holotype: Shaw Chenglong, 1999b, figs.72–73. Originally Batiacasphaera, subsequently (and now) Sentusidinium. Taxonomic junior synonym: Batiacasphaera setulosa var. minima, according to Wood et al. (2016, p.87). Age: Eocene.

Description:
Cysts spherical, subspherical or lenticular with a characteristic setose surface, 2-3 μm long and thick autophragm (2-3 μm thick);
apical archeopyle, operculum generally free, occasionally remains in place.
No indications of paratabulation, paracingulum or parasulcus.

Dimensions:
Holotype – Overall 58 μm long, 51 μm wide, autophragm 2-3 μm thick, apical archeopyle 21 μm long.
Other specimens - overall 43-58 μm long, 38-58 μm wide, autophragm 2-3 μm thick, apical archeopyle 20-25 μm wide (n=7).

Affinities/Remarks:
The species differs from Batiacasphaera cassicula Wilson 1988 in being substantially smaller and in having spinule processes.
