Derivation of name. After Henrik Nøhr-Hansen who first described this species from North-East Greenland.

Holotype. Fig. 9H, well 612,-383, sample 8, slide #2; EFC W36(0) UWA181289.

Diagnosis. Dorso-ventrally compressed, single-walled ceratioid cyst, with broadbased bulges or broad-based short projections, apically, laterally and antapically. The wall is hyaline, very thin, and mostly folded. The archeopyle is apical (type tA).
Size. width 44(68)90 mm (14 specimens), length without operculum 32 (47) 67 mm (14 specimens), operculum length 40, 45 mm (2 specimens).

Occurrence. Albian of Greenland (Nøhr-Hansen, 1993, 2012) and Hauterivian of Russia (Pestchevitskaya, 2007).

Comparison. Pseudoceratium nohrhansenii sp. nov. differs from P. expolitum Brideaux 1971 in lacking well-developed horns.
