Xenikoon australis Cookson and Eisenack, 1960a, is ovoidal, slightly pointed anteriorly, containing a spherical endocyst with an apical pericoel and in some specimens a narrow ambital pericoel. Archeopyle intercalary, resulting from loss of 2a. Size: holotype length 59 µm, width 47 µm, endocyst length 47 µm, width 52 µm, range 50-70 µm long, 43-62 µm wide.

Characters of the genus. Shell membrane granular, pylome semicircular to nearly square.
Dimensions: Holotype: 59 µm long; 47 µm broad; capsule 47x52 µm. Range: 50-70 µm long; 43-62 µm broad.
