Leptodinium? hyalodermopse (Cookson and Eisenack 1958) Stover and Evitt 1978

Originally Gonyaulax, subsequently Gonyaulacysta, thirdly (and now) Leptodinium?, fourthly Rhynchodiniopsis.
At the time of the transfer, Stover and Evitt, 1978, considered this to be a pprovisionally accepted species of Leptodinium.
Sarjeant, 1982, transferred this species to Rhynchodiniopsis Deflandre, 1935. Jan du Chene et al., 1986, provisionally retained it in Leptodinium.

Original description: Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, p. 34: Gonyaualx hyalodermopsis
Theca thin, transparent and smooth, obtrusely biconical to slightly oval. Epitheca and hypotheca nearly equal. Apex sumounted by a short cylindrical horn with a pointed apex. Transverse girdle shallow, distinctly helicoid, longitudinal furrow broad. Sutures with smooth, thin and shallow ledges. Dorsal plates very large. the tabulation is shown in figs. 5-6.
Dimensions: Type - 73 x 55 Ám overall, horn 9 Ám.
