Original description: Drugg, 1970, p. 816-817
Body spherical to ovoidal. Endophragm 2 to 2.5 Ám thick with a rugulate surface. The rugae decrease in size in the vicinity of the antapex. The periphragm is very thin and departs from the main body antapicallv to form a skirt-like appendage with a large opening at the bottom. The periphragm is finely striate downward from the point of departure. The archeopyle is apical and exhibits a non-indented rim. The body diameter ranges from about 45 to 65 µm. The total length ranges from about 70 to 90 µm.

Affinities:
Drugg, 1970, p. 817: This species differs from Duosphaeridium nudum (Cookson) Loeblich and Loeblich, 1968, in that it possesses a rugulate wall rather than a finely granular wall. It also is larger in size and possesses a larger antapical opening.
