Holotype: Salujha and Kindra, 1981, pl.2, fig.47.
Jain and Garg (1982, p.69) stated that this species is based on two incomplete specimens and that the name should be restricted to the holotype.
Age: Early Paleocene.

Achomosphaera microreticulata sp. nov.

HOLOTYPE: Pl. 2, fig. 47.
DIAGNOSIS AND DESCRIPTION : Golden yellow, oval to subcircular, size 88-95 x 64-70 μ. (including processes); processes 8-14 μ long, thin, broad at the base, blunt to pointed at the tips, furcating into 2-3 branches; exine +/- 1 μ thick, microreticulate.
COMPARISON : Achomosphaera operculata (Sah, Kar and Singh, 1970: Pl. 1, figs. 1-2) has a smaller cyst but longer processes and cyst membrane sculptured with grana or coni. A delicata also describrd by Sah, Kar and Singh (1970; PI. 1, figs. 4-5), though coming in the size range of the present species, has larger number of processes which are closely spaced and cyst membrane is laevigate.
