Holotype: Deflandre and Cookson, 1955, pl.3, fig.2.
Originally Cannosphaeropsis, subsequently (and now) Aiora. Wilson and Clowes (1980, p.10) retained this species in Aiora Cookson and Eisenack.
Age: Turonian–Santonian.

Description:
Shell apparently ellipsoidal; membrane thin, smooth, with a number of solid processes that are distally united with another; localized portions of the transverse trabeculae are thin; strongly flattened and perforated by rounded openings of variable size.
