Description:
Arrangement of vesicles/plates on the dinoflagellate amphiesma cop, pop, cap, 5", 3a, 7"", 7c, 5""", 2"""", as, y, z, ps; 1"""" and 2"""" located symmetrically on either side of the dorsoventral plane.
Cyst form acavate, proximate, oblong ovaloidal or asymmetrical with elongate coniform to elongate tentoriate epicyst and somewhat longer semiovaloidal or semispheroidal hypocyst, maximum diameter at the posterior cingular margin or somewhat farther back, apex rounded or tapering into a low, broad horn, antapex rounded; size small; wall composed of pedium and granular, crispate, partly spongy luxuria, nonareate; areation formula NR PR/XPR, NR", 1a(arch), 2a(arch), 3a(arch), NR"", NRc/Xc, NR""", NR"""", NRs/Xs; cingulum planar to slightly laevorotatory, level or shallowly indented, with slightly raised margins or a striking anterior edge where the surface of the hypocyst projects distinctly beyond the epicyst; sulcus level or shallowly indented;
archeopyle anterior intercalary, 1a+2a+3a; opercular pieces solvate, but adnate to precingulars, general opercular formula 1a(a)+2a(a)+3a(a).
