Description:
Arrangement of vesicles/plates on the dinoflagellate amphiesma cop, pop, cap, 5", 3a, 7", 7c, 5""", 2"""", as, y, z, ps; 1"""" and 2"""" located symmetrically on either side of the dorsoventral plane; growth type of thecal plates peridinioid.
Cyst form peridinioid, acavate, cornucavate, outline pentagonal, oval, circular, equatorial cross-section lenticular, reniform or epicyst rounded, tentoriate to coniform, hypocyst tentoriate, cingulum weakly laevorotatory, almost planar, indented; size small; wall composed of pedium and luxuria, luxuria shagreen to granular, fused distally into a glabrous tegillum especially along the fines and in the polar region, tegillum intraareately spotty or absent; areation formula cop, pop, cap, 5", 3a, 7", 7c, 5""", 2"""", as, FM, y, z, ps; cop very small, round, oval, shaped like a peg; horseshoeshaped pop; small rhombic cap between 1"/5" and pop; 5 apicals, very long slender VI 1" (V), large VI 2" (VL), deltaform inverse-camerate 3" (DL) deltaform inverse-camerate 4" (DR), large VIII 5" (VR); 3 anterior intercalaries, linteloid la (LDL), VII 2a (D), inverse-camerate 3a (DR); 7 precingulars, anteriorly geniculate V-nE 1" (WL), anteriorly geniculate VnE 2" (LVL), anteriorly geniculate V-nE 3" (LDL), anteriorly linear IV-nE 4" (D), anteriorly geniculate V-nE 5" (DDR), anteriorly geniculate V-nE 6" (R), anteriorly linear IV-nE 7" (WR) only seldom connected with 1"; cingulum heptaareate, helicoid, laevorotatory, dextrocamerate V 1c (V), latifastigiate 2c (VL), lati VII 3c (LDL), latifastigiate 4c (D), lati VI 5c (DR), laticamerate 6c (VR), VIII 7c (V); 5 postcingulars, VI-nE 1""" (WL), posteriorly linear IVnE 2""" (LDL), posteriorly geniculate V-nE 3""" (D), posteriorly linear IV-nE 4""" (DR), posteriorly linear IV-nE 5""" (VR); large V 1"""" (L) and large V 2"""" (R) on either side of the antapex; sulcus from a narrow steno VII as usually in contact with 5" and 7", FM, small y and z, large hexagonal omegaform ps; archeopyle anterior intercalary, 2a; operculum monoareate, secate, opercular formula 2a[s].
