Areoligera danica, W. Wetzel, 1952
Now Achomosphaera. Originaily Areoligera, subsequently Baltisphaeridium (by Downie and Sarjeant, 1965), thirdly Hystrichosphaeridium, fourthly Cleistosphaeridium, fifthly (and now) Achomosphaera.
Tax. jr. synonym of Areoligera senonensis Lejeune-Carpentier, 1938, according to LejeuneCarpentier and Sarjeant, 1981. Sarjeant, 1984, retained Areoligera (as Achomosphaera) danica as a separate species.

Stratum typicum: Danian flint from the German drift (Jungdiluvium)

Diagnosis:
A species of the genus Areoligera with high-arched capsule and distinctive, separately formed processes.
Now Achomosphaera. Originaily Areoligera, subsequently Baltisphaeridium (by Downie and Sarjeant, 1965), thirdly Hystrichosphaeridium, fourthly Cleistosphaeridium, fifthly (and now) Achomosphaera.
