Originally Tenua Eisenack, subsequently Kallosphaeridium?, thirdly Batiacasphaera, fourthly (and now) Batiacasphaera?, fifthly Sentusidinium.
Marheinecke, 1992 questionably included this species in Batiacasphaera.
