Phallocysta frommernensis Below, 1987a, p.132–133, pl.22, figs.9–18; text-fig.70.
Holotype: Below, 1987a, pl.22, figs.10–13,18; Fensome et al., 1993a, figs.2–5,7 — p.1205.
Locus typicus: Frommern near Balingen, S Germany
Stratum typicum: Aalenian
Original Description: Below 1987, p. 132-133
Vesicle/plate arrangement on amphiesma cop, pop, cap, 5", 3a, 7"", 7c, 5""", 2"""", as, y, z, ps; 1"""" and 2"""" located symmetrically on either side of the dorsoventral plane. Cyst habit proximate, peridinoidal, epicyst coniform, separated from smaller, semi-ovaloidal hypocyst by weakly helicoid, laevorotatory, indented cingulum; size small; wall composed of thin pedium and rigid, prismatic luxuria with a smooth or scabrate surface, giving rise to loosely spongy, rigid fibers which also thicken distally and fuse together in groups or rows and thus form a partly reticulate surface, nonareate; paratabulation NR PR, NR", 1a[arch], 2a[arch], 3a[arch], NR"", Xc, NR""", NR""", Xs, only homologous areae to thecal plates 1a, 2a and 3a defined as opercular plates, linteloid 1a (LDL), fastigiate 2a (D), inverse-camerate 3a (DR); archaeopyle anterior intercalary, 1a+2a+3a; operculum solvate, opercular pieces secate, general opercular formula 1a(s)+2a(s)+ 3a(s). Dimensions of holotype: length 37 µm, breadth 31 µm, thickness 23 µm. Remark: comparison with the paratabulation of Dodekovia shows complete correspondence.
