Original description: [He Chengquan, 1984b] (translated from Chinese with Google):

Bosedinia sinensis (sp. nov.)
(Plate VII, Figures 9-13)

The shell is more or less flat, with a nearly rounded outline. The shell wall is relatively thick (1.5-2 microns), distinctly divided into two layers of nearly equal thickness. The surface is prominently granular, some of which may connect into short wrinkles, while others appear rough and uneven, with particle size varying between 0.5 and 1 micron. The palate is sub-superior, with straight to slightly curved edges and a V-shaped, but not Z-shaped, fissure on either side. The palate is connected. A nucleus may be present.

Shell diameter 50-52.5 μm; holotype diameter 52.5 μm.

Discussion This species is similar to Bosedinia granulata (He et Qian, 1979); it differs in that the shell wall is thicker, often showing double contours, and is clearly divided into an inner and outer layer.

Origin: Shangsi, Guangxi; the second and third sections of the Yongning Group, with the third section being more abundant.
