Alberti, 1961, questionably included this species in Broomea.

Description:
Body flattened, rhomboidal to oval. Epitheca at the apex well rounded. Large antapical horn beginning just below the equatorial region of the body. Second antapical horn much smaller. Membrane transparent. The strongly developed antapical horns tapper towards the ends which are slightly blunted.
Dimensions:
Holotype - length 58 µm, breadth 29 µm.
