Originally Achomosphaera, subsequently Cordosphaeridium.
Taxonomic senior synonym: Cordosphaeridium fibrospinosum, according to Fensome et al. (2009, p.23).
Tax. jr. synonym of Cordosphaeridium exilimurum Davey and Williams, 1966, according to Jain, 1982, and Lentin and Williams, 1985. Sarjeant, 1981, retained this species in Achomosphaera Evitt, 1973.

Age: Late Cretaceous
