Original description: Jan du Chêne, 1987, p. 159
Dinoflagellate cyst, elliptical to subcircular in outline, without apical protruberance. Wall composed of a relatively delicate autophragm with a smooth to scabrate outer surface. The parasutural septa are slightly elevated, irregularly fenestrate, with irregularly and delicately denticulate crests. They outline a gonyaulacoid paratabulation with formula: ?pr, 3-4", 6"", 6c, xs, 6""", 1p, 1"""". Paraplate 6"" is typically subtriangular and the parasutural septum delimiting 1" and 4" may be less elevated than the others. The antapical paraplate is of a symmetrical type. The paracingulum is indicated by six cingular paraplates; it is clearly sinistral. The parasulcus is not subdivided. The archaeopyle is precingular, type P93""); the operculum is free.

Affinities:
Jan du Chêne, 1987, p. 159: This species differs from the already described forms in its large size, the delicate wall, the absence of an apical protruberance, and especially in ths particular nature of the crests of the parasutural septa.
