Rhombodinium glabrum "subsp. granulatum" (Wilson, 1967c, p.493, figs.29–30) Lentin and Williams, 1973, p.120.

NOW Epelidinium granulatum. Originally Wetzeliella subgenus Rhombodinium glabra var. granulata, subsequently Rhombodinium glabrum subsp. granulatum, thirdly Dracodinium granulatum, fourthly (and now) Epelidinium granulatum.

Locus typicus: Rakis Table, Oamaru, New Zealand
Stratum typicum: Late Eocene

Original description: Wilson, 1967, p.493: Wetzeliella (Rhombodinium) glabra var. granulata
A variety of W. (Rh.) glabra with a coarsely granular periphragm. Granules sometimes aligned in rows indicating possible tabulation. Dimensions: Holotype: l= 129 µm, h= 118 µm, capsule 83 µm X 83 µm, apical horn 16 µm, l. ant. h. 14 µm, r. ant. h. 22 µm, lat. h. 14 µm.
