Chlamydophorella urna
From Fensome et al., 2019:
Chlamydophorella? urna Cookson and Eisenack, 1960a, p.10, pl.3, fig.7. Holotype: Cookson and Eisenack, 1960a, pl.3, fig.7. Questionable assignment: Stover and Evitt (1978, p.28). NIA. Age: late Albian–Cenomanian.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original description: [Cookson and Eisenack, 1960, p.10]:
Description:
Shell small, oval to slightly angular in outline, appendages which support the thin external membrane extremely short and densely arranged.
A "girdle" is evident, particularly at the sides of the shell. The shell opens by an uneven break at one end.
Dimensions:
Holotype: 39 µm long, 30 µm broad.
Range: 29-43 µm long x 24-38 µm broad.
Affinities:
Chlamydophorella urna is distinct from Chlamydophorella nyei Cookson and Eisneack in the smaller size of both the shell and appendages and the absence of an apical projection.
