Diagnosis:
Outline ellipsoidal to lightly biconical, wall thin, structureless, loosely set with 0.5-1 µm high pointed cones. These are generally unarranged, but may in single specimens indicate a paratabulation.
Apical archaeopyle with two opercula.

Dimensions:
holotype 46:31 µm. Other (10) specimens 31-44 µm long, 20-31 µm wide.

Affinities:
C. perpunctatum differs from C. stipulatum in its at most 1 µm high coni, from C. punctatum in that the coni are more numerous and mostly irregularly scatterd and in that also the cingular are is bearing coni.
