Diagnosis:
Outline elliptical, with smooth, single-layered wall. Ornamentation pattern consisting of small cones, granae or short thorns, which mark the boundaries and centers of the paraplates.
Formula: 1pr, 5", 5-6a, X"", Xc, X""", 5p, 1""""; pv+?4s.
Archaeopyle apical, normally through the loss of 3" and 4" (often additionally pr, 2" and 5", and occasionally 1").

Dimensions:
Holotype: length 53 µm, width 34 µm.
