Ctenidodinium sellwoodii (Sarjeant, 1975) Stover and Evitt, 1978

Now Dichadogonyaulax. Originally (and now) Dichadogonyaulax, subsequently Ctenidodinium.
Tax. sr. synonym of Dichadogonyaulax stauromatos Sarjeant, 1976, according to Riley and Fenton, 1982.
Lentin and Williams, 1989, following the advice of Sarjeant (pers. comm.), retained Dichadogonyaulax sellwoodii as a separate species. Conway, 1990, agreed with Riley and Fenton, 1982.
Woollam, 1980, stated that this species may be conspecific with Ctenidodinium stauromatos (Sarjeant, 1976) Stover and Evitt, 1978 and Ctenidodinium tenellum
Deflandre, 1938.
Benson, 1985, and Dodekova, 1990, retained this species in Ctenidodinium. Lentin and Williams, 1993, followed Sarjeant in Lentin and Williams, 1989, who considered that the species should be retained in Dichadogonyaulax Sarjeant, 1966.
