Cordosphaeridium inodes ssp. robustum

Cordosphaeridium inodes ssp. robustum Gocht, 1969

Now Cordosphaeridium robustum. Originally Cordosphaeridium inodes ssp. robustum, subsequently (and now) Cordosphaeridium robustum.
Holotype: Gocht, 1969, pl.2, figs.1a-b
Locus typicus: Meckelfeld core 87
Stratum typicum: ?Late Eocene
Translation Gocht, 1969: Geological Survey of Canada

Diagnosis Gocht, 1969, p.42:
Central body subspherical. Processes short, bulky, sometimes lightly conical. Archeopyle relatively large.
Additional remarks:
This subspecies is vividly reminiscent of C. floripes f. breviradiatum Cookson and Eisenack, 1961; however, the basal structure of the processes typical for floripes is absent. The arrangement of processes on the main body corresponds with that in other subspecies. Small processes in the region of the longitudinal furrow have not been observed hitherto. Some specimens with slightly longer processes are transitional toward the nominate subspecies.
Measurements: Maximal extension 83-131 Ám; main body diameter 57-74 Ám. Process length: 8-32 Ám.
Holotype: Maximal extension 97 Ám, main body 66-64 Ám. Processes 8-17 Ám, archeopyle 34: 32 Ám.
Occurrence: Early Eocene- ?Late Eocene.
