Combination not validly published since Downie and Sarjeant, 1963 did not fully reference the basionym.
Now Achomosphaera. Originally Hystrichosphaeridium subsequently Baltisphaeridium (combination not validly published), thirdly (and now) Achomosphaera, fourthly Spiniferites.

Age: Late Cretaceous
Combination not validly published since Downie and Sarjeant, 1963 did not fully reference the basionym.
Now Achomosphaera. Originally Hystrichosphaeridium subsequently Baltisphaeridium (combination not validly published), thirdly (and now) Achomosphaera, fourthly Spiniferites.
