Wallodinium anglicum
Wallodinium anglicum (Cookson and Hughes, 1964) Lentin and Williams, 1973
Originally Diplotesta, subsequently (and now) Wallodinium.
Holotype: Cookson and Hughes, 1964, pl.11, fig.2
Locus typicus: Upper Gault, 59/11/14, CG2
Stratum typicum: Late Albian-Early Cenomanian
Original diagnosis: Cookson and Hughes, 1964, p.57: Diplotesta anglica
Shell elongated with, in side Yiew, one side straigm or slightly concave, the other strongly convex, narrowing towards bluntly pointed apices one of which is usually open as the result of the partial or complete detachment of the wall along a straight line (Pl. 11 figs. 1, 3, 4). Capsule elongate-oval, strongly biconvex, narrowing somewhat towards both ends. The shell-membrane is scabrate.
Dimensions: Holotype 126 µm long, 44 µm broad; capsule 52 x 24 µm. Range: 34-80 µm long, 29-44 µm broad; capsule 25-54 µm long, 17-23 µm broad.
