Wallodinium bidigitatum (Manum and Cookson, 1964) Lentin and Williams, 1973

Originally Diplotesta, subsequently (and now) Wallodinium.

Original diagnosis: Manum and Cookson, 1964, p.25: Diplotesta bidigitata
Shell roughly crescent-shaped in lateral view, apices blunt, usually elongate and more or less curled. Capsule asymmetrically biconvex or concavo-convex, prolonged at each end into a hollow, finger-like process. The walls of both shell and capsule are smooth. The shell opens by a break at one end.
Dimensions: Holotype: 65 µm long as measured from apex to apex, 32 µm across; capsule 57 x 31 µm. Paratype: shell 85 x 34 µm, capsule 56 x 28 µm.
