Dimensions:
Overall length including the processes 77(88)105 µm. Holotype 98 µm. Length of the central body 39(47)53 µm. Holotype 44 µm. Breadth of the central body 24(29)38 µm. Holotype 31 µm. Length of the processes 24(28)36 µm. Holotype 25 to 30 µm. Specimens measured 12.

Affinities:
Bourkidinium psilatum differs from Bourkidinium granulatum Morgan, 1975, in having a smooth central body and equal number of processes (5 to 7) in the apical and antapical regions.
