Test oval with one short, tubular, apical horn; horn usually wider at the tip; cingulum very faint, often not visible; archeopyle precingular; surface of the test granular, clensely coverecl with stiff, pointed spines of medium length; spines curvecd ancd with slightly expanded bases; body wall about 1,5 microns thick.
