Broomea simplex
From Fensome et al., 2019:
Broomea simplex Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, p.42, pl.6, fig.9. Holotype: Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, pl.6, fig.9.
Originally (and now) Broomea, subsequently Necrobroomea. Lentin and Williams (1976, p.144) retained this
species in Broomea. Age: Late Jurassic.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Original description: [Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, p.42]:
Description:
Body broader proximally narrowing towards a tapering apical horn, antapical horns 2, entire, widely divergent with broad bases and rounded apices. A "girdle" is apparently absent, a pylome is developed in the apical region; the membrane is finely granular.
Dimensions:
Type - 28x33 µm overall, apical horn c.118 µm, antapical horns 76x52 µm.
