Trichodinium paucispinum Eisenack and Cookson, 1960, p.5–6, pl.2, fig.7. Emendation: Jan du Chêne et al., 1986a, p.369, as Pervosphaeridium paucispinum.

Now Pervosphaeridium. Originally Trichodinium, subsequently Occisucysta, thirdly (and now) Pervosphaeridium.

Locus typicus: Santos"s Oodnadatta Bore, Western Australia
Stratum typicum: Albian

Shell oval to nearly spherical, girdle narrow, equatorial; aptca; horn narrow, straight-sided surmounted by three or more short, flat divergent fibres. Shell-membrane densely granular, sparsely covered with broadly-based spines. Pylome broad.
Dimensions: Type--Overall 100 µm, long, 81 µm broad, shell-85 µm; 81 µm, horn c. 15 µm long.
