Affinities:
Singh, 1983, p. 154: Thalassiphora microcysta is characterized by a relatively small endocyst and a very large pericyst. The endocyst is dark, ellipsoidal and has a precingular, type P (3" only) archeopyle. Paracingulum is sometimes expressed by a dark, transverse band below the archeopyle. However, there is no other indication of paratabulation.
