Tehamadinium daveyi
From Fensome et al., 2019:
Tehamadinium daveyi Jan du Chêne et al., 1986b, p.24, pl.16, figs.1–15; pl.17, figs.1–5. Holotype: Jan du Chêne et al., 1986b, pl.16, figs.1–8. This name was not validly published in Jan du Chêne et al. (1986a, p.352) since the generic name Tehamadinium was not validly published and no holotype was designated. Age: Berriasian.

Tehamadinium daveyi n. sp. Planche 16, fig. 1-15; Pl. 17, fig. 1-5
Synonymie
1977 - Occisucysta evitti (Dodekova, 1969) Gitmez,
1970: Duxbury, p. 43; pl. 3, fig. 1,5.
1979 - Occisucysta sp. A : Davey, p. 64; pl. 3, fig. 7-8 (figure comme 0. cf. evitti).
1982 - Occisucysta sp. A : Davey, p. 31; pl. 10, fig. 14- 15.
Holotype. - Separate grain no. D6G/4. Deposited in the collections of Esso Production Research-European (EPR-E), Begles, France. Origin: Speeton Clay, Horizon D6G from Duxbury, (1977, p. 21); Great Britain. Berriasian.
Diagnosis. - Proximate to proximochorate, subspherical dinoflagellate cyst. Paratabulation of the gonyaulacoi type: 1p, 4', 6", 6c, 5s, 6", 1p, 1". The autophragm is thick. The cyst is surmounted by a slight apical protuberance formed by the autophragm. The parasutural septa are always very well developed and tall, even those bordering the cingular or sulcal paraplaques. These parasutural septa are thick, with a smooth or irregularly cut crest. The intratabular areas are densely lined with high spines whose bases meet in a network of septa (muri) forming an irregular intratabular pseudoreticulum. Precingulate archaeopyle, 2P (2" + 3"). Operculum composed, free.
Description. - Proximate dinoflagellate cyst with proximochorate, subspherical in shape and with paratabulation of the gonyaulacoi type:de lpr, 4', 6", 6c, 5s, 6" ', lp, 1" ". The paraplaque designated 1" is not in contact with the lower margin of the paracingulum and has touched 2". The autophragm is thick. The cyst is surmounted by a slight apical protuberance formed by the autophragm. The parasutural septa are always well developed, even those bordering the cingular and sulcal paraplaques. These parasutural septa are thick, solid, with a smooth or irregularly cut crest. The intratabular areas are densely covered with tall spines with truncated apexes. The bases of the spines join in a network of septa forming an irregular intratabular pseudoreticulum. However, paraplaques 1' to 4', 6", and the sulcal paraplaques do not exhibit intratabular edema. The archeopyle is precingular, 2P (2" and 3"), with a compound, free operculum. The anterior margin of the aperture is defined by parasutural septa bordering the 2'/2" and 3' 13" paraplates. However, the parasutural septa bordering the anterior margin of the paracingulum at the aperture are generally absent when the opercular plates are detached. The paracingulum is composed of six plates. It is slightly spiral and sinistral.
Dimensions: Holotype - Other specimens
Cyst length (including apical protuberance and parasutural septa): 72 µm - 78-62 µm
Cyst width (including parasutural septa): 76 µm - 78-60 µm
Apical protuberance: 10 µm - 4-10 µm
Parasutural septa height: 6 µm - 2-6 µm
Number of specimens measured: 37.
Comparisons. – This species is distinguished from Tehamadinium evitti by the absence of accessory septa and by its dense intratabular ornamentation. T. tenuiceras and T. crestatum also exhibit spiny intratabular ornamentation. T. daveyi differs mainly from these two species by its solid, non-fibrous parasutural septa. The size of T. dodekovae n. sp. is distinctly larger than that of T. daveyi. The intratabular ornamentation of T. dodekovae is less pronounced; the parasutural septa are shorter and less fenestrated. In T. dodekovae, the apical paraplates are devoid of a few spines, whereas the apical paraplates of T. daveyi are not ornamented.
