Tehamadinium dodekovae
From Fensome et al., 2019:
Tehamadinium dodekovae Jan du Chêne et al., 1986b, p.25–26, pl.18, figs.1–9; pl.19, figs.1–6; text-fig.5, nos.1–2. Holotype: Jan du Chêne et al., 1986a, pl.116, figs.7–8; Jan du Chêne et al., 1986b, pl.18, figs.1,3,6–9. This name was not validly published in Jan du Chêne et al. (1986a, p.352), since the generic name Tehamadinium was not validly published. Age: Berriasian–early? Hauterivian.

Original description (Jan du Chêne et al., 1986b)
Tehamadinium dodekovae n. sp. Fig. 5; Pl. 18, fig. 1-9; Pl. 19, fig. 1-6
Synonymy
1982 - Occisucysta evitti (Dodekova, 1969) Gitmez,
1970: Below, p. 32-36; text-fig. 6; pl. 3, fig. 1-9; pl. 4, fig. 1-5.
Holotype. - Separate grain no. 1344. Deposited in the collections of Esso Production Research-European (EPR-E), Bègles, France. Origin: Speeton Clay, Horizon D4 of Duxbury, 1977, p. 21; Great Britain. Lower Valanginian.
Diagnosis. - Proximate to proximochorate dinoflagellate cyst, subspherical. The paratabulation is of the gonyaulacoid type: 1p, 4', 6'', 6c, 5s, 6'', 1p, 1''. The autophragm is thick and forms a slight apical protuberance. The parasutural septa are always very well developed, even those imitating the sulcal and cingulate paraplates. These parasutural septa are irregularly fenestrated and have an irregular crest. The intratabular areas are covered with tall, fibrous spines, often with a truncated distal end. The arcuate pylum is precingular, of type 2P (2" + 3"), with a free, compound operculum.
Description. - Proximate dinoflagellate cyst with a proximochorate structure, subspherical in shape and with a gonyaulacoi-type paraplaque: 1p, 4', 6", 6c, 5s, 6", 1p, 1". The paraplaque 1" is not in contact with the lower margin of the paracingulum and touches 2". The cyst is surmounted by a slight apical protuberance formed by the autophragm. The parasutural septa are always well developed, even those bordering the cingular and sulcal paraplaques. These parasutural septa are irregularly striated and fenestrated, with an irregular and finely denticulated crest. The intratabular areas are densely covered with tall, fibrous spines, often with a truncated distal end. These spines can be proximally connected in groups of two or three. Unlike T. daveyi n. sp., the intratabular areas of the paraplates 2' to 4' and 6" are not ornamented. However, the intratabular areas of the sulcal and 1' paraplates are unornamented. The arcopolylus is precingular, of type 2P (2" + 3"), with a free, compound operculum.
Dimensions: Holotype - Other specimens
Cyst length (including apical protuberance and parasutural septa): 110 mm - 110-82 µm
Cyst width (including parasutural septa): 96 µm - 110-74 µm
Apical protuberance: 5 µm - 3-5 µm
Parasutural septa height: 3 µm - 3 µm
Number of specimens measured: 23.
Comparisons. – This species is distinguished from T. daveyi n. sp. by its larger size, its less prominent parasutural septa relative to the diameter of the central body of the cyst, and by its intratabular erythema (see T. daveyi: Comparisons). T. tenuiceras and T. crestatum are also characterized by spiny intratabular erythema, but the autophragm of these two species is fibrous or vermiculated, whereas it is irregularly vacuolar in T. dodekovae. T. evitti has accessory parasutural septa and lacks dense intratabular spiny erythema. This species appears morphologically very close to Diacanthum hollisteri.
