Sverdrupiella manicata Bujak and Fisher, 1976

Holotype: Bujak and Fisher, 1976, pl.3, fig.8-9; text-fig.2G
Locus typicus: Hecla J-60, cuttings 3680", Queen Elizabeth Islands, arctic Canada
Stratum typicum: Norian

Original diagnosis: Bujak and Fisher, 1976, p.50
Bicavate cysts, capsule ovoidal to rhomboidal. Periphragm forming one long apical and one long antapical horn of approximately equal length. Presence of second, strongly reduced antapical horn sometimes indicated by swelling of periphragm. Surface of periphragm smooth or slightly granular, typically with faint longitudinal striae on horns. Cingulum laevo-rotary, delimited by distally smooth, undulate or crenulate crests and interrupted by shallow sulcus. Archeopyle formed by displacement of one or more (1-?3) anterior intercalary plates in periphragm and comprising subapical split in capsule.
Dimensions: Holotype, periphragm length 198 µm, periphragm breadth 72 µm, capsule length 52 µm, capsule breadth 57 µm. Observed range, periphragm length 169-218 µm, periphragm breadth 53-81 µm, capsule length 52-64 µm, capsule breadth 50-73 µm.
