Surculosphaeridium spinicongregatum
From Fensome et al., 2019:
Surculosphaeridium spinicongregatum Yun Hyesu, 1981, p.40, pl.16, figs.2,6. Holotype: Yun Hyesu, 1981, pl.16, fig.6; Fensome et al., 1991, fig.2 — p.753; Fauconnier and Masure, 2004, pl.74, fig.7. Age: early Santonian.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Locus typicus: Timmermann brickyard near Esbeck, Germany
Stratum typicum: Early Santonian
Translation Yun, 1981: Fensome et al., 1991, p. 753
Original diagnosis: Yun, 1981, p. 40
The chorate cyst usually has one process per paraplate which may occur in the form of two or rarely three simple spines. The short, solid, relatively thick spines are of more or less uniform width. The process occasionally splits into two branches which, which like all the others, are distally slightly broadened and ragged or shortly multifurcate. Occasionally an apical archeopyle is present.
