Description: Cysts ovoid or broadly ovoid in outline. Periphragm only 1 µm thick. Surface with punctate ornamentation and secondary creases. Intercalary archeopyle. Outline quadrilateral.
Size: Cysts 20 - 26 µm long and 18 -20 µm wide.
Comparison: This new species is distinguished from other species in the genus by its large archeopyle, polygonal shape and small-sized individuals.
