Rigaudella aemula ssp. integra
Rigaudella aemula ssp. integra (Cookson and Eisenack, 1958) Below, 1982
Originally Cannosphaeropsis aemula ssp. integra, subsequently Adnatosphaeridium aemulum ssp. integrum, thirdly (and now) Rigaudella aemula ssp. integra.
Holotype: Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, pl.7, fig.6
Locus typicus: Carnarvon Basin, W Australia
Stratum typicum: Late Jurassic
Original diagnosis: Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, p.47 Cannosphaeropsis aemulum ssp. integrum
Shell sphaeroidal with a number of hollow, funnel-like processes the wall of which are, for the most part, entire or only slightly perforated. The "funnels" are connected by short delicate threads.
Dimensions: Overall diameter 95-128 µm, processes 24-38 µm.
Affinities:
Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, p.47: Cannosphaeropsis aemulum ssp. integrum
The subspecies integrum is readily distinghuishable from the typicul examples of C. aemula by the rather shorter, broader and more entire processes.
