Translation Below, 1981: Fensome, 1991, p. 688

Original diagnosis: Below, 1981, p. 112
Proximochorate, nontabulate cyst with a spheroidal, rhomboida weakly elongate-ovoidal shape. Hypocyst and epicyst of equal size. Paracingulum only rarely indicated dorsally. Parasulcus absent. Archeopyle large, type P(3""). Numerous appendages, which are solid, thin, distally pointed, bifid or split to form two hooks, are evenly distributed over the cyst. Appendages are basally connected by low ridges or are isolated. Membrane smooth.

Original description: Below, 1981, p. 112
The outline of the cyst varies from weakly elongate oval to round to approximately rhombic. There are no indications of polar appendages, paracingulum or parasulcus. In some specimens an equatorial zone without appendages is visible dorsally - this is presumably the paracingulum. Numerous solid appendages, 5-8 µm long, are evenly distributed over the surface. They are basally thickened and taper distally or are of uniform diameter after tapering proximally. The tip is acuminate, button-like, thickened, bifid, or split to form two hooks.
