Cladopyxidium saeptum, (Morgenroth, 1968), Stover and Evitt, 1978
Originally Microdinium, subsequently (and now) Cladopyxidium.
Tax. sr. synonym of Microdinium robustum Davey, 1969, and of Cladopyxidium septatum McLean, 1972, according to Stover and Evitt, 1978.
Accordingly, Cladopyxidium saeptum is the correct name for the type species of Cladopyxidium, but the nomenclatural type of the genus remains the holotype of Cladopyxidium septatum.
